Live Inspired.

Everyone is born with an innate potential for greatness. We are all a blank canvas, and, if influenced correctly, could change the world around us. As we age, however, we are impacted by millions of different influences, many of them defeated and tarnished, that diminish our chances at greatness.

Society tells us to grow up, get educated, get a job, pay bills, and die. In that order.

We, as hapless players in a movie we didn’t create, end up plodding through our lives, not realizing that most of the people around us are swiftly convincing us that our dreams will never be a reality. So at the end of the day we end up with one less Albert Einstein. One less Martin Luther King. One less Steve Jobs, Sirleaf Johnson, or Michael Jordan.

People tell us we can’t; Life tells us we can’t; and we believe them.

The caveat is that, while every other person will encourage us to stay inspired, nobody actually shows us how to do it. Nobody will tell you that you should take your dreams, and figure out how you can get from your dream to your present. Take your dream, whether or not you think it’s realistic to where you are right now, then plan the realistic steps that will help you get there. Then, you can look from the bottom of the mountain and understand how to take the first step up.

Once you take the first step, no matter what the obstacle is, plan the next with the resources you have available, and keep going. Be open to reevaluate, be open to mistakes, and refuse to accept someone else’s negative verdict. I didn’t say constructive criticism, I said verdict.

Before you know it, the place you’re at will be vastly different than where you were before. Each step will produce a life that constantly aspires for better; a life that is continually inspired.
